Xtra Capacity™: Lifts You Have Been “Weighting” For
Responding to customer demand worldwide for aerial work platforms to handle heavy lifting, Genie Xtra Capacity (XC) boom lifts are designed to work in more applications that require a higher lift capacity. All Genie XC™ boom lifts have dual lift capacity to provide an unrestricted platform capacity of 660 lb (300 kg) and a restricted capacity of 1,000 lb (454 kg). This reduces the number of lift cycles and amount of equipment needed to get tools and materials to aerial worksites — doing more with a single unit saves time and increases productivity.
In addition to increased platform weight capacity, all Genie Xtra Capacity lifts feature:
- Room for up to three people on the platform
- Simple, zero-load field calibration
- Load Sense Technology: The boom won’t lift if the maximum load is exceeded
Standard Capacity vs. Xtra Capacity
When you need a high-lift machine on the jobsite, platform capacity matters. Standard-capacity boom lifts can’t exceed 500 lb (227 kg) — but Genie Xtra Capacity lifts have an additional 160 lb (73 kg) of unrestricted capacity and an additional 500 lb (227 kg) of restricted capacity. That means you can get more done in less time and stay on schedule.
Genie XC Interactive Tool
The Genie XC interactive tool lets you virtually place materials, attachments and operators in and on a virtual boom platform; then it automatically calculates the load weight. If the weight of what you’ve added to the platform is under the boom lift’s rated capacity, the load will rise — but if you’ve exceeded its capacity, the load will stay on the ground. The interactive tool experience shows you how industry-mandated platform load-sensing technology works in the real world: It disables the boom lift if the load weight is above its rated capacity. If the load weight is below that rated capacity, the virtual boom lift will work within its operating envelope.
